Intelligent,
Real-World Pricing Execution for Online Catalogs
Akonite's
Bundle Discount Recognition Engine enables sellers to price goods
according to sophisticated discount factors, as they would in
the off-line world. Sellers can name specific combination of products
that would lead customers to price breaks. Bundled, tiered, hierarchical,
and cumulative discounts are essential deal-making components
of traditional business-to-business relationships.
Benefits
- Saves
time by allowing sellers to easily apply traditional discount
methods to online catalog
- Increases
sales through a variety of up-selling and cross-selling options
- Increases
customer retention and lifetime value of a customer through
accumulative, preferential discounts
Akonite
Volume Pricer unlocks volume purchasing online with the following
mission critical features:
Features
Bundle
Discounts
Bundle
discounts enable sellers to specify percentage discount or exact
price discount for specific groups of items and quantities. Akonite
Volume Pricer recognizes near-bundles and suggests up-selling
or cross-selling options to satisfy the greater needs of the buyer
and increase average deal price.
Tiered
Discounts
Tiered
discounts allow sellers to specify pricing tiers that are translated
into different prices per item for variable quantities. For instance,
a seller may set pricing rules for purchases of between 1 and
99 items, each item is priced at $2 per item, and another rule
for purchases of between 100 and 299 items, each item is priced
at $1.75 per item and so on. This application ensures that the
quantity-based discounts that are negotiated in traditional off-line
business relationships can be applied to online catalogs.
Bundle
Discount With Hierarchical Inheritance
Sellers
may specify exact discounts for specific configurations of products.
Sellers are able to specifically pinpoint products with certain
attributes and hierarchical substitutions for discount. For example,
a manufacturer produces a line of processors with 600MHz,
650MHz, 700MHz, 750MHz, 800MHz, 866MHz, 933MHz and
1GHz frequencies. The seller can specify that all 800MHz and
faster processors get 10% discount if purchased with a 256MB or larger RAM
module.
Hierarchies, inheritance and bundle promotions can be based
on skill sets, product features, geographical or business structures.
This feature gives sellers more precise control over product
pricing than ever before.
Cumulative
Discounts
By
storing previous transactions and utilizing Akonite's near-tier
and near-bundle recognition in an accumulative manner, sellers
can retain buyers by offering them a price break upon reaching
the purchase requirements. For instance, buyers can accrue discounts
as they make repeated purchases. Buyers are rewarded for loyalty
and retention, while sellers benefit from keeping their customers
and expanding their footprint within the account.
Business
Rule Discounts
Akonite
Volume Pricer can analyze and compute discounts in circumstances
where the buyer may qualify for more than one discount. These
include "and/or" and "min/max" business rules. For instance, if
a buyer qualifies for both a geographical discount and a volume
discount, the seller can specify whether the buyer gets both discounts,
or just one discount, or just one discount if both discounts applied
would exceed a certain margin requirement set for that item.
